Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers about the GEA process, risk control, performance tracking, XAUUSD analysis, prop firm discipline and platform access.

General

GoldEdge Analytics is a structured trading workspace built to help traders prepare, control risk, record decisions and review performance in one place. The platform combines a Trading Journal, Statistics, Risk Management, Economic Calendar and market analysis tools.

GEA does not trade for you and does not promise profitable outcomes. Its purpose is to make your process easier to measure, review and repeat.

GEA is designed for traders who already understand that knowing a strategy is only part of the problem. The difficult part is often following the plan consistently when money, pressure and emotion are involved.

It is particularly useful for traders who want to reduce overtrading, manage drawdown more deliberately, review mistakes and understand which behaviours are helping or damaging their results.

GoldEdge Analytics is built around the trading process: preparation, risk control, journaling, statistics and post-trade review.

Rather than focusing only on individual trades, GEA helps you understand your own execution, identify patterns in your performance and make your trading process more measurable.

Trading Process

Because knowing a rule and executing it under pressure are different things. A trader can understand risk management and still increase size after a loss, overtrade after a winning session or abandon the plan when emotions take over.

GEA makes those decisions visible through the Journal, Statistics and Risk Management tools. The goal is to replace vague impressions with recorded data that can actually be reviewed.

Consistency cannot be guaranteed by a platform, but it can be made easier to diagnose. GEA tracks your trades, results, sessions, setups, drawdown and behavioural patterns so you can see where performance is actually breaking down.

Instead of asking only “Why am I losing?”, you can review questions such as: Am I risking too much? Which setup performs worst? Am I giving profits back? Which sessions produce my weakest results? Am I following the same process?

The framework is built around four stages: Prepare, Protect, Execute and Review.

Prepare the market before risking capital. Define risk before emotions can influence the decision. Execute the plan instead of reacting impulsively. Then review the trade so the next decision is based on information rather than memory.

Journal & Statistics

Excel can absolutely be used as a trading journal. GEA is not built on the idea that a spreadsheet is “wrong”. The difference is that GEA connects the journal directly to performance statistics, risk metrics and behavioural analysis without requiring you to build and maintain those calculations yourself.

If your spreadsheet already gives you everything you need and you review it consistently, there may be no reason to replace it. GEA is for traders who want that workflow already structured in one environment.

You can trade without one, but without recorded history it becomes much harder to distinguish a real pattern from a feeling. A losing week may feel like a strategy problem when the actual issue was oversized risk, one weak session or repeated execution outside the plan.

The Journal gives the Statistics page reliable data to work with, allowing decisions to be reviewed over time instead of judged from memory.

Statistics turns your recorded trades into measurable feedback. Depending on your access level, you can review win rate, profit factor, average results, risk-to-reward, equity progression, performance by session, weekday and setup, winning and losing streaks, and additional trading insights.

The purpose is not to produce a flattering score. It is to show where your process is strong and where it deserves attention.

Risk Management & Prop Firms

Yes, the Risk Management workspace is designed to make account protection easier to monitor. You can define daily and weekly loss limits, monitor exposure, calculate position size and review drawdown before risk becomes an afterthought.

GEA does not know or enforce the rules of every prop firm automatically. You remain responsible for configuring limits that match the account or challenge you are trading.

GEA cannot guarantee that you will pass a challenge or keep a funded account. Those outcomes depend on your strategy, execution, risk decisions and the rules of the prop firm.

What GEA can do is support the behaviours those environments demand: predefined risk, drawdown awareness, disciplined position sizing, trade tracking and regular performance review.

There is no universal percentage that is appropriate for every trader or account. Your risk should reflect your account size, drawdown limits, strategy and tolerance for loss.

GEA's Risk Management tools are designed to help you define that risk before entering a position and understand its impact on your available daily and weekly loss capacity.

Because one oversized decision can undo days or weeks of disciplined work. A strong setup does not protect an account from poor position sizing, uncontrolled exposure or repeated rule-breaking.

Risk control is therefore treated as part of the process before execution, not as something to review only after a loss.

Market Analysis & Trade Setups

The platform can support traders who operate different markets, but GEA's current market analysis is specialised in Gold (XAUUSD).

That focus comes from experience: concentrating on one market made the analytical process clearer and more repeatable instead of constantly switching between instruments.

GEA focuses on Price Action, market structure, relevant price levels and contextual risk. Traditional indicators are not the foundation of the analytical process.

No. A trade setup can result in profit, loss or break-even. Setups are educational and informational market ideas, not guarantees, investment advice or instructions to place a trade.

The final decision, position size and risk always remain under the trader's control.

Membership

Every new verified account begins with 7 days of Pro access, so you can explore the complete GEA workflow before deciding whether to upgrade. No payment card is required to start the trial.

When the 7-day trial ends, your account continues on Free automatically. Free includes the Basic Dashboard, up to five Journal trades, Statistics Overview, Weekly XAUUSD Analysis, the Economic Calendar and Prop Firm Risk.

After a new account verifies its email address, 7 days of Pro access begin automatically. No card or payment details are required and there is no automatic charge at the end of the trial.

When the 7 days end, Pro-only features are locked and the account continues on Free. You can choose to upgrade to the paid Pro membership at any time.

Pro provides the complete GEA workflow: unlimited Trading Journal, Advanced Statistics and Trading Insights, Weekly and Daily XAUUSD Analysis, Trade Setups, Complete Risk Management, Economic Calendar and Priority Email Support.

Pro is presented as one-year access rather than a monthly trading service. The current price and complete access conditions are always shown on the pricing section before purchase.

Pro makes most sense if you will actually use the workflow: record trades, review statistics, define risk and use the platform as part of your routine.

If you only want occasional market commentary and do not intend to track or review your trading, the Free plan may already be enough. The purpose of the paid plan is access to the complete toolset, not a promise of better returns.

Platform Access

Yes. GEA is designed for desktop, tablet and mobile access, so your journal, statistics, risk tools and analysis can be reviewed across different devices.

No. GEA does not require TradingView and does not require you to trade with a specific broker. You can use your preferred execution and charting environment alongside the platform.

No. GoldEdge Analytics does not execute trades, hold client funds or manage trading accounts. Every trading decision remains entirely under your control.

Your Journal and personal performance information are linked to your authenticated account and are not displayed as public trading records. Please review the Privacy Policy for further information about data handling.

Payments & Refunds

Available payment methods are shown securely during checkout. GEA does not store your full payment-card details on the platform.

Refund eligibility depends on the conditions stated in the Refund Policy and Terms & Conditions. Because access is provided to digital services and platform features, restrictions may apply once paid access has been activated or used.
